Golden milk is one of my all time favorite hot drinks. I genuinely enjoy the taste of turmeric therefore my golden milk recipe is turmeric heavy but as always customize to your liking.
Golden Milk Latte
Vegan | Gluten Free | Soy Free Option Nut Free Option
1 mugs worth of plant milk of choice (approximately 1.25 cup)
1 tsp ground turmeric
1/4 tsp cinnamon or 1 whole cinnamon stick
1/4 tsp cardamom
1/4 tsp ground ginger (if using fresh use at least double)
1/4 tsp vanilla powder (optional)
Dash of cloves
Dash of black pepper
Maple syrup or agave to taste
1. To a small sauce pan add, plant milk, ground turmeric, all other spices, and sweetner of choice (I typically use about 1 tbsp of maple syrup).
2. Whisk to combine (regular or electric) and hear over medium heat. You don’t want it to boil (or burn your mouth).
3. Turn off heat and whisk one more time. Adjust flavor as desired.
4. Pour mixture into mug and enjoy immediately.
You can strain if you want. I enjoy the sediment of the spices. If you don’t feel free to strain.
