This tartar sauce was created by an Outer Banks, NC native (me) so therefore you know it’s good. I grew up eating tartar sauce and I refuse to give it up as a vegan. This recipe is just as good as the one I ate growing up. Nostalgia can now commence as I lather this on my vegan crab cakes in bliss.
The Best Vegan Tartar Sauce
Vegan | Gluten Free | Soy Free Option
1/2 cup vegan mayo (use soy free if needed)
1/4 cup+ dill relish
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1/8 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp dried or fresh dill
Pinch of dried basil
Small pinch of tarragon
Dash of Worcestershire
1. Place all ingredients in a small mixing bowl and stir to combine. Enjoy!
2. Store any leftovers in an airtight container like a mason jar in the fridge.
