I am guilty of always making indulgent smoothies with nut butter and cacao so I decided to create some new recipes to switch things up.
This tropical turmeric smoothie with berries, mango, and ginger is incredibly refreshing. It’s sweet with a little bit of tart. Make one and let me know what you think!
Tropical Turmeric Smoothie
Vegan | Gluten Free | Soy Free | Nut Free Option
1-2 chunks frozen banana
Handful of frozen mango chunks
4-5 whole frozen strawberries
1 heaping teaspoon of ground turmeric*
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (optional)
Chunk of fresh ginger (or a shake of ground ginger)
Dash of black pepper
Plant milk to blend (1/2 cup+)
1. Place all ingredients into your blender and blend on highest setting until fully incorporated. If too thick add more plant milk.
2. Remove and taste. Adjust flavor as desired.
3. Add to glass and enjoy immediately.
Notes: If you do not enjoy the taste of turmeric add less. If you add less the taste will not be as noticeable.
If you are unable to drink immediately keep in the fridge for up to 24 hours. You can also freeze by placing in a mason jar with the lid sealed tightly.
